Synopsis of Stinger: An International Thriller (Book Cover Art Coming Soon)
In February, 2003, the U.S. is about to invade Iraq to search for weapons of mass destruction, unless a beautiful and determined CIA Case Officer, June Cohen, can assassinate Saddam Hussein beforehand. She informs Robaire Assaly, a Los Angeles based DEA Confidential Informant, that his mother and sister have been kidnapped in Beirut, and she needs his help in obtaining a Stinger missile to identify international terrorists living in L.A. She lays out a plan to use his unwitting long-time DEA handler, Native American Gary Lowery, and the FBI to obtain a Stinger. In return for Robaire's cooperation, the CIA will rescue Robaire's kidnapped family. He agrees to assist her, but before long, Robaire realizes June has set him up to take the fall for her theft of the Stinger in a cleverly executed plot right under the noses of the hapless FBI.
The duped FBI and Gary want Robaire badly. He's now on the run as an international fugitive with the FBI, CIA, and Gary relentlessly searching for him and the stolen Stinger. However, June finds Robaire first before he can reveal her, and the CIA's involvement, to the Feds.

Cam Torrens, aWARD-WINNING AUTHOR OF sTABLE AND fALSE sUMMIT
A superbly written work of thriller fiction! The author immediately draws the reader in and never let’s go. Stinger is absolutely believable, a story about what might have been shortly before the second invasion of Iraq. A breathless opening depicting a kidnapping, and the heroic efforts of American government agencies which orchestrated a daring undercover operation. A real whodunit! Gregory D. Lee’s many years of experience in law enforcement is evident in this fantastically believable story which is highly entertaining and credible.

Stinger is a nonstop thrill ride with twists and turns, engaging you until the final pages.
Dr. Gary Gerlacher, Author of Last Patient of the Night
Stinger, by Gregory D. Lee, is a pulse-pounding immersion into a world of spy craft, intrigue, and twisted conspiracies. The suspense built from start to finish as this reader struggled to winnow out the good guys from the bad guys, never sure which was which. As the tale progressed, I grudgingly began to root for the unlikely hero. No James Bond, he, but improbably clever, as he stumbles along from crisis to crisis in his quest to free his sister and mother from their terrorist (?) kidnappers. Much of the action takes place in the Middle East, and Lee’s depiction of the region is spot-on. Take it from one who lived and worked there for 20 years. A stiff Stoli is recommended to take the edge off the suspense, but anyway you approach this adventure, you will not be disappointed. Fans of Le Carre and Fleming will feel right at home with this 5 star read!

A walk-off grand slam home run! In his debut novel, Gregory D. Lee uses his 40+ years as a military and law enforcement experience to write a scintillating international thriller. Lee integrates espionage, police procedure, criminal investigation, terrorism, U.S. bureaucratic competitiveness, multiculturalism, and historical events into unexpected surprises—a real page-turner! The intrigue, deception, maneuvering, betrayal, disappointment, and exhaustion are palpable and rebarbative. Hoping for a sequel.
